My Favourite Things

... to play with at the moment are the new 'Sweet Flourishes' papers & the free Little Birdie Image. But that's normal for me I think. If you were ever to ask me which is my favourite of all the things I've ever designed, it's usually the last one.

And I know, from all the lovely things you've told me, that you like them too : )

Some of you have asked for the Little Birdie with 'tweetie-style' sentiments so whilst I was playing with them myself, it seemed simpler to do it now, rather than add it to my to-do list. (which is already way tooooo long!)

So I've done some. I've called it 'Tweet Thoughts' and it's here in the Boutique if you'd like to take a look. (The images above will take you to it too & you can see the larger images of my card there : )

The little birdie is ever-so-slightly different to the one on the free gift. The collection has 16 sentiments, mostly in a 'tweetie-style' and because it developed from a free gift, I've priced it at just £1.99.

This is the card that I've made to showcase it on the web site - using my Sweet Flourishes of course!

I did some paper piecing on this one which I haven't actually done for a long while. And I'm really pleased with how it turned out - I thought the flourishes would work really well to achieve the boudoir-style effect which seems to be on everything at the moment. And I think they did, even on my pretty little birdie. I think it's made a very feminine card.

Anyway, I'm going to play around with this same boudoir-style on some of the other images this weekend. It is very trendy, oh-so pretty and I do so love it. And I think it would be nice to see how the look works with your Pink Petticoat designs. So I've decided I'm going to have a whole weekend experimenting & creating, blog-hopping and catching up with all your news & those lovely cards you've been sending me links to ... and I just know it's going to be absolute heaven!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Love Liz xx

I bought these the minute I opened the newsletter, and I couldn't be happier! But then I am an absolute Pink Petticoat addict!
