When Life Hands You Lemons ...

Monday, 15 February 2010

A nice way to start a new week. A free gift : )

It's a mini-kit with a couple of pretty papers and some digi die-cuts & sentiments. And it's based on the 'when life hands you lemons' sentiment. I've always loved it. So I decided to create a Pink Petticoat version of it.

I've seen it used quite often on cards with 'make lemonade' as the inside sentiment. But I think it's a perfect sentiment for giving all kinds of lemony home-made gifts.

So I've left the kit totally open for you to choose. Simply pop a blank insert inside your card & finish the sentiment by writing something depending on what lemony-thing you've chosen. And you'll have a lovely way to give your little gift! If you can bake gorgeous cakes, 'eat lemon cupcakes' would be perfect, along with some cupcakes of course!

And because it's Pancake Day tomorrow, mine will say ... make pancakes!

I've called it Life's Lemons.

And you can download yours free from 4shared here (7mb)

ETA - There seem to be some problems downloading this file from 4shared. I've had a quick look, but haven't been able to find the reason why.

But just in case you haven't been able to get your download, I've made it available from the web site too.

So you can download this file from here as well : )

I hope you like it!

Love Liz xx

  14. Thank you - its lovely!
I said this before, and I will say it again: you could REALLY enlarge your market if you also offered the designs in PNG or JPG format. Digital stamps are all the rage these days, and your designs are FABULOUS!

  17. Vianna,

I know Digi Stamps are all the rage : ) You may have discovered Pink Petticoat only recently but it was actually the first business to offer digi stamps for card makers, ooh how long ago ... 5 or 6 years ago now. I am familiar with the Digi Stamp market : )

And maybe my business would grow if I offered my images in png and jpg files too. But there are definite disadvantages to jpg files. The tif files I offer ARE the best option for printing - an excellent printed result is precisely why the format was developed and they are not difficult to manage once you know how.

And honestly, I'm not really sure I want to increase my customer base. I'm not sure I really want to work any more than I already do!

I am prepared to ask my existing customers what they think though. Leave it with me : )

But I do thank you for leaving your thoughts with me. And I'm pleased you like what I do : ) Thank you.

  19. Thanks so much for the gift - it really is lovely. By the way, in America they have a cocktail called a Lemon Drop so a useful continuation of the When life hands you....... is "make Lemon Drops!" (with suitable frosted cocktail glass image, etc.)

  36. I don't know how you do it, Liz! So many gorgeous creations!

And I am *so* envious of your confidence with colour - how you always manage to add an extra colour into the scheme and make it look absolutely stunning. If I add a co-ordinating embellishment it always looks like I've run out of the right colour, LOL. I love your finished cards - they are such a great source of inspiration for people like me with no imagination.

Oh, and thanks for the glue advice, too. Now my buttons stick perfectly!

Thanks from me, too, for the freebie,

    Julie
