Less Is More

Today's post is a very special post for me. Today I'm celebrating. And I don't just have one lovely something to celebrate. Today I have two : )

First, I'm celebrating that Pink Petticoat is the February Sponsor for the fabulous 'Less Is More' Challenge blog. And 'Happy Birthday' to all the girls, because today 'Less Is More' celebrate their 2nd birthday!

And second, I'm celebrating my Guest Designer spot with them : )

How happy am I?
The challenge this week is 'Kraft & Kreme'. And this is my card : )

Kraft card is one of my favourite things to create with. But I used it with a little twist for this card and instead of using it on the outside of my card, I used it on the inside. It was so simple to do. I took the natural cream-coloured, recycled card I used for my card base, printed one of the Kraft Shades from the Organics Kraft pack onto one side and folded it so the Kraft was on the inside of my card instead of the outside. Recycled card is the perfect texture for printing your own Kraft card - it looks and feels so authentic.

I punched some hearts along the bottom edge so the Kraft peeps through, added a little something pink & sparkly, wrapped some ivory Button twine around and finished with a stamped sentiment.

Very clean. Very simple. And very 'Less is More' don't you think?

If you'd like to join in the Challenge you can find all the details *here*
along with all the fabulous inspiration from Jen, Chrissie (Mandi is still very busy with her gorgeous new Boutique) and all the other Guest Designers, including my lovely friend Mary from The Ribbon Girl.

The prize is £15 worth of downloads of your own choice from the Boutique.
And I can't wait to see what you create. I'm especially looking forward to seeing cards made with your Pink Petticoat designs ... I'll be featuring my favourites on the Pink Petticoat Facebook page : )

Have fun!

  4. I struggle to find the time to follow blogs but your posts are always worth the effort. I have signed up to your mailing list several times but never get the emails. Any idea why?

    1. Hi Marg,

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit the blog. And for your lovely words - I'm ever so pleased you find something you like : )
Re the Newsletters. I have 2 Newsletters ... one which I run from the web site and one which I run from the blog. if you can tell me which one you have tried to sign up for but are having difficulty with, I will probably be able to help : )

      Best Wishes,
      Liz

    2. Thank you for replying Liz. Good question! Probably the website but I can't be sure :-( I've bought digi papers from you in the past. My email address can look like a business and I wonder if it gets deleted as spam? I don't want to put it in this message so will seek out your website later & try again.

      Thanks once again Marg

    3. Hi Marg,

It could be a filter. But the web site newsletter can be problematic at times. And I'm ever so sorry,
Can I suggest you sign up for the blog newsletter instead? It will still deliver all the 'new product' news to you, in the same way as the one from the web site. But it will also deliver news about the free gifts, tutorials etc as well. And it seems to have more success at delivery too : )
If that appeals to you, you'll find a link to sign up on the right hand side, near the top of the page. But please let me know if you have any problems with that one too : )
