Weekend Craft Project: Little Paper Boats

Hi everyone! Today, I want to show you how to make a little paper boat to add to your beachy papercraft projects : )

It's very simple and quick to make & needs only a few supplies. In fact it's a perfect way to use up even the tiniest little scraps of patterned papers.

This is how I made it ... .

TUTORIAL

You will need ...
Scraps of Patterned Papers & Card cut to shape.
Small Hole Punch
Cocktail Sticks

To cut out your shapes
You could cut these shapes by hand. Or use Circle / Triangle Dies or Punches.
I used Circle Nestabilities by Spellbinder in one of the smaller sizes (as image above) to cut out my hull.
And triangle punches to cut out my sails (see image below).

1. Punch a small hole at the top, and another in the centre at the bottom edge of your sail. I used the smallest hole on my Crop-a-Dile by WRMK for this.

2. Trim your cocktail stick to size and thread through the punched holes in your sail. This creates your mast.

3. Stick the mast & sail to the back of your boat hull with a glue dot, or a piece of sticky tape.

5. Add your little flag to the top of the mast.

6. Trim it up ...

and your little paper boat is complete!

Use dimensional foam pads, on either side of the mast on the boat hull, and under your little flag, to balance and add your little boat to your card. And if you'd like the sail to be secured down too, a little silicone glue at the top & bottom edge will hold it very firmly.

Simple aren't they? And very cute too. I've made millions of them ; )

I'm now going to spend the weekend preparing the little beachy images I promised you to go with the 'Beach Cottage' papers, ready to go on the web site next week. And a couple of other little things if I can squeeze them in too.

Thank you all so much for visiting this week. Enjoy making your little boats. And your weekend!
