Simple Notecards

I make a lot of these little notecards. I think they're just about the simplest thing I make with a printed paper design. They are, quite simply, a paper design printed onto a sheet of A4 card, which I then cut into 2 pieces and fold to make 2 A6-sized cards. I usually make them in sets of 6. And at any one time, I will have at least 6 sets of these hidden away in my craft room, ready to use when I need them.

I make them with any pattern. And as a general rule, if I'm using a bold, colourful pattern, I'll print them onto plain white card, using the heaviest weight I can fit in my printer. And for simpler designs, I like to print onto a textured card, just to add a little interest. As I have with these ...

… which I printed onto a beautiful rustic-style dark cream card. I love the way the flecks in the card peep through the grey print : )

I find them really useful. I use them exactly as they are, with a little note written on a pretty piece of paper & popped inside.

I also use them as a ready-made card base, adding a sentiment and embellishment as and when I need them. This is perfect for last-minute cards!

But mostly I wrap them with a pretty little ribbon and give them as gifts : )

A few sets of these would be a lovely addition to your table at a craft fair too, don't you think?
