How To Make The Simplest Shaker Card

Hi everyone!
Today, I want to show you the simplest way I know to make a Shaker Card : )

It uses a 10cm x 7cm clear cellophane envelope and a small piece of card, measuring 7cm x 4cm, to create a band to seal the top to stop your beads falling out. And stitching them together.
Like this …

1. Trim down the longest side of the cellophane envelope to 6 1/2 cm and pop your sequins & beads inside. Taking the piece of card that is to form your top band, {I used gold Glitter Card for mine} fold it in half, slide it over the open edge of your filled envelope ...

2. … and stitch them together.

And that's it! A cute little shaker bag ready to add to your card.

I made a pretty layered card with mine, wrapping a length of Natural Button Twine around it, before sticking it to the top edge of a 9cm x 7 1/2cm piece of pattered paper and layering it with a die-cut doily onto an A6 card blank. And I finished it with a couple of die-cut butterflies.

They're that simple : )
Lovely aren't they?

  4. What a lovely idea and I have acquired tons of sequins/beads from a lady at the Bridal Shop where my daughter purchased her wedding dress. They get lots of little packets with the dresses and are keen to give them away! Love your little shaker card!
